Air-water heat pump Terma
Air-water heat pump
Heat pump for heating and domestic hot water heating type TERMA

An air-water heat pump is capable of extracting heat from the ambient air even at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius.
This is because even at this temperature the refrigerant used evaporates.
One Air-water heat pump uses the ambient air as a heat source to supply an entire building with heat. During operation, a built-in fan actively draws in the air and directs it to a heat exchanger, the evaporator. A refrigerant circulates within this evaporator, which, due to its thermal properties, changes its state of aggregation even at low temperatures. When it comes into contact with the supplied "warm" outside air, it heats up until it finally begins to evaporate. Since the temperature of the resulting vapor is still relatively low, the vapor flows on to an electrically driven compressor. This increases the pressure, which also causes the temperature to rise. Once the refrigerant vapor has reached the desired temperature level, it flows on to the next heat exchanger, the condenser. Here it transfers its heat to the heating system and condenses.
heat pump
The heat thus recovered can be used for heating or hot water production. Before the cooled refrigerant can be reheated and compressed, it first flows through an expansion valve. This lowers the pressure and temperature to their original levels, allowing the cycle to repeat.
